well, i had a fairly similar day to parnell and samberg, et al.

today was another shot at a fundraiser for my peru missions trip...a film showing of the chronicles of narnia...i've seen the movie once in theatres, but it was most definitely worth watching again...a great film, indeed.

too bad not a lot of people showed up, though.

it was a slightly disappointing turnout, considering it was announced at new hope for weeks before the event happened...but those who indeed came enjoyed the film, and the concession as well (popcorn, anyone?)...i was especially happy that my parents and my grandma and her friend came...they haven't seen the film yet, and it was nice of them to support our trip...and hey, they had a good time, it was all cool.

you know, watching the film made me realize how amazing c.s. lewis is as a storyteller...and how great our God is...as mr. tumnus said about aslan (the God-figure of the book/movie), he is "not a tame lion", one who is loving yet just...it is His awesome power and sacrifice and love that continues to keep me going with this trip, even when things go rough in the fundraising of it.

maybe i should get a copy of the movie?...i'm not sure...i'll try to check one out in the movie rental place...maybe they have some used copies or something.

anyways, that's all i've got today...i've pretty much had a lazy day...well, i did get my sponsorship letters done and ready to be sent...that will be taken care of tomorrow.

maybe i'll do some more sorting for the fundraising garage sale before i head to bed...i'm kinda wired right now.

*sigh*

as much as today was fun though, i wish i was in kitsalano beach again today.

yesterday was nice.

i should have gone there earlier in the day...just sitting by the shore was great...i needed some time of contemplation, alone...but at least i got some time of serenity, albeit short.

i'll be back there in two weeks.

meanwhile, i'm going to wallow myself back to work again.

oh, goody goody gumdrops.

anyways, enough writing before i get myself in a lousy mood.
