second day of school.

second day of the challenge.

LONG DAY.

i've been up since 7 this morning...and didn't get home till about 7:30 in the evening...i'm pooped.

it was a rather interesting day...a few familiar faces, and some rather interesting things coming up.

particularly, the canadian federal elections are coming in two weeks time...and i'm gonna have to cover it...both in writing and in photographs.

this is the reason why i DIDN'T want a spring election.

...

i've never really been a fan of politics...i think i've expressed that one or twice in this blog...i just find it to be a monotonous game of he said/she said...mud-slinging, bashing, name-calling...it's just never been about the issues...well, at least the stuff that i see in the news.

i have a political writing class this semester, and to be serious, i'm not necessarily looking forward to it...primarily because i don't know if i'm cut for writing stuff like that...i just find myself lost in this subject at times...as well as i'm just sick and tired of the bullshit i hear from the mouths of the people who are supposed to represent us.

the thing is though, i HAVE to learn how to love it...i'm a stakeholder in this thing called democracy...i have to give a crap about politics.

it's just a hard thing sometimes...because i'm exasperated with the stuff i see...especially with the current state of canadian political affairs...with all the scandals and finger pointing and kerfuffles going on, i just can't stand watching the news sometimes...especially yesterday's debate...it was quite pointless, really.

at this point, what i'm looking for in a leader is just someone who can articulate to me, in the best possible way, what they want to do for me and the rest of canada...if they can do a better job, then they get my vote.

*sigh*

it's gonna be interesting two mondays from now...i don't know if i'm gonna enjoy this.

so much for trying not to bitch about stuff, hmmm?

...

oh, God, i'm so tired.

i'm heading off to bed a little bit earlier than usual tonight.

i have class tomorrow at 8:30 in the morning...must be awake by 6 AM.

but before i go, i will be adding three new links on this page...well, it's actually four....three of them are from my dearest j-crew friends...free plug!

the last one will be my instructor mark hamilton's blog...it's a great resource for media and journalism studies...so for all aspiring writers out there, please check his site out.

there will be a lot of changes with this blog.

i hope you can all stand by and check it out.

now it's time to go to bed.

till then, folks.

...peace out...

P.S. i know, i've neglected my playlist page...i'm hoping to update that tomorrow...considering i have a two-hour break between classes...fun.
