FINALLY.

after a fucking month of waiting, my new cell phone is here.

i'm finally with the times and have a flip phone with a camera attached to it...woohoo.

i seriously screamed at that customer service rep yesterday as i got continually more and more frustrated with the state of my order...which at this point never existed...so she re-ordered my phone again...gave me some free accessories...and gave some discounts on my plan.

and to my pleasant surprise, my phone, which i ordered yesterday, arrived this morning...i haven't even woken up yet!

hmmmm...maybe i should be aggressive more often...it seems to get me what i want.

haha.

but seriously, it's funny how some small things teach you a little thing about patience...maybe the previous scenario wasn't a good example, but whatever.

in a sense, i've been doing a lot of waiting lately.

waiting for my long-time-no-see friends to call me to hang out.
waiting for work schedules to see if i'm free at certain days.
waiting for july 8 to come so i could go to peru already...

yeah, only 22 days left!

goodness, i'm just excited to get there and help out the people and such...as the date moves closer and closer, all the preparation i still have to do is starting to sink in...

last sunday we met our translator, alberto...he's about my age, so we won't feel too weird with him around...he definitely a nice guy.

then yesterday, i got my vaccination shots for travelling...hepatitis A and tetanus...the latter had the most lingering effect...my arm still hurts...the actual putting-the-needle-in-my-arm didn't hurt, but the afterwards did...gosh, i'm such a wimp...and considering i have a fucking tattoo in my back!

and now, i'm still kind of worried about the money, and what stuff to bring, the whole staying arrangements...all of these are still unknowns...and yet, i'm definitely sure that i'm going to peru in less than 3 weeks.

ooooh, i want to go NOW.

patience, my dear, patience.

and speaking of which, i can't use my phone right now...because i don't know how to switch my old phone into the new one...and i still have to charge it fully...and then set up all my ringtones...that requires an entire day of work!

why can't i have things when i want them?

gosh, i'm just bad.
